Tuesday 7-31 Old Acquaintances

What a wonderful day

Last night a front came through but we didn't get any rain. This morning we woke to overcast skies and wind out of the north that kept the temperatures out of the 100's. It only got to 97.

Last week we installed the shelving unit from The Seeds Program in the garage. Larry wanted to add a couple of more shelves to it but the brackets were not available in the store so he ordered them online. We picked them up from Home Depot this morning. Now we have a project to work on.

While in town we decided to stop at HEB. When we entered into the store we bumped into Dee, we danced with her when we had our local club. We visited with her a bit and found she hadn't been dancing for almost two years. We picked up another HEB dinner on the go called Jumbo Coconut Shrimp with Sesame Noodles and a Barbecue Ranch Salad Kit. We had the salad for lunch and it was very good. We had the shrimp dish for dinner and it was also very good.

Weekly Grocery Shopping

We wear hats when we square dance and some of them were starting to look pretty nasty because of us sweating in them. Larry decided to clean them up, three of them were made out of paper so he thought they might just fall apart while being cleaned. He used a spray cleaner and rinsed them with hot water, once they dried they looked excellent. Another was made out of cloth, he washed it in the washing machine on the quick wash setting and it also came out looking good. By cleaning them up he didn't have to spend money to replace them.

In the afternoon Larry worked on my book and I worked on my puzzle. After dinner we finished watching the second season of Scott & Baily. We had a relaxing evening.
