We're having fun!!!! |
We
had planned to stay at Lake Louise in Banff National Park so we
didn’t leave Tunnel Campground until 9:00. We only had 37 miles to get to Lake Louise. We drove through smoke the whole
way. At the beginning of the drive we had a choose to take a four
lane highway or go a scenic route which was a two lane road. We
decided on the scenic route. We saw a lot of beautiful pine trees and
a few mule deer. After the scenic route we continued on a two lane
highway. The drive would have been a gorgeous drive with all the
glaciers but the smoke covered up the glaciers. When the smoke wasn’t
too heavy you could see the snow on the glaciers. Along the drive
there were places to pull over and look at different points of
interest besides having the smoke there were a lot of people and few places to park the Minnie so we didn’t pull over. As we were
driving we did see couple of nice waterfalls and a beautiful river.
Sometimes the river was an aqua color and other times it was milky
looking. When we got to Lake Louise it was very busy, we stopped for gas and decided to continue another 145 miles to Jasper National Park.

We
spent a night at The Whistlers Campground in Jasper National Park in
Alberta Canada. It’s a very pretty campground with a playground,
climbing rock, bathrooms in each loop and two bathhouses with
showers. While there we walked around the campground and relaxed. Larry checked on the phone to see where the smoke was and has decided we would
go east in order to get out of the smoke.

When dinnertime came around Larry barbecued hamburgers. After dinner I
walked around the loop for fifteen minutes and I lifted weight for
fifteen minutes. I hadn’t swept out the Minnie since we have been
on the road which has been 15 days so today was the day. The Minnie is only 21’
so it didn’t take too long. Even though we have been in a lot of
smoke we’re still having fun.
