Happy Labor Day!!! Here in the United States labor day is the first Monday in September to celebrate the labor movement and to recognize all the laborers, who helped make the country.
Today was another travel day. We drove 405 miles to Shelby, Montana where we spent the night in the parking lot of Shopko. The day was windy so the mountain ranges didn't have all the smoke from the fires. It was a very pretty drive through Montana. While driving we saw a Bald Eagle in a nest on a telephone pole and another one hunting. We saw a couple hawks. On the prairies we saw a herd of bison, sheep, pronghorns, horses and cows. We saw wheatfields and farmlands. Larry does all the driving so I spend some time napping. We stopped at a few rest areas in Montana, they were very nice. Each restroom had its own room with a toilet, sink, soap dispenser and hand dryer. Larry drove for about nine hours. We are having a great time.
Welcome to Montana |
