Running errands

A couple of days ago Larry and I were going to take the truck to a dance but it wouldn't start, the battery was completely dead. Larry charged it for the last two days and the cells finally came up to normal. This morning we took the truck to town to do some errands and to make sure that the battery was ok. The first errand was to mail out the last Ebay item that sold. The next one was going to Academy to exchange my new tennis shoes for a bigger size. The third one was to The Home Depot to pick up an item that Larry ordered, they gave us this huge box and inside was a small cover, you could hear it bouncing around inside the box. Then finally to Walmart to pick up Larry's nasal spray and some Diet Mountain Dew.

I mentioned mailing out the items that sold on Ebay, Larry had listed 6 items, 4 of them sold and 2 did not, the ones that sold brought in about $250, I guess it was worth his time to put them on Ebay. He could relist the two that did not sell but they are really inexpensive items and we are going to donate them to Goodwill.

In the evening we went to the Shirts 'n' Skirts Club dance in Georgetown. They had a Winter Dance and invited Gary Shoemake to call the square dancing tips and Jerry Pate cued the round dancing. Gary is an International caller out of Sevierville, Tennessee. He has been calling since 1964 and in 1968 he made calling his full time vocation. Lucy and Jerry Pate are the clubs cuers but tonight Lucy was busy so Jerry cued all the round dancing. We had eight squares for both the mainstream and plus tips. The dance started a little late, Gary had to use his back up computer and had trouble getting it to work correctly. So Jerry started the dance out with a set of round dancing songs. Once Gary got his computer going the dance went well. We had a late start but the club decided to have the dance run longer to make up for the delay. In between the square dancing tips Jerry did rounds. There were a lot of round dancers. We had a fun time dancing to Gary Shoemake.
