Wednesday 6-17-26 Virtual Square Dancing, Projects & More

Have a great Wednesday

We had a great day. It was hot and humid with the morning temperature of 72 degrees and the high of 89 degrees.

Larry started the day out by reading.

Saturday, Larry dug out some rocks in the backyard because the mowers were trying to avoid them so they wouldn't mess up their mower's blade. After digging out the rocks they left deep holes. Today he decided to fill the holes with dirt. We had a couple bags of dirt so he used them up but that wasn't enough dirt. So we made a trip to town to get some more.

I attended two virtual square dances. First was Di Green and Terry McCann's Weekly Plus at 10:00 am for an hour. Di called the dance and Terry danced part of the dance with her. Larry danced with me so the dancers would have a couple to follow. Di called five tips to 10 participants. She continued working on the A moves, that are now Plus moves. They were Quarter Thru, Left Quarter Thru, Triple Trade, Partner Tag, Partner Hinge, Pair Off and 3/4 Quarter Thru. She put us in different positions we aren't use to being in so she walked the dancers through the moves we were having problems with. We had a great time dancing to Di and Terry and with friends.

Second was Dave Eno's Weekly C1/A2 at 6:00 for an hour and a half. Dave Hutchinson, Karin Rabe and Greg Moore helped him call the dance. The format was three tips of C1, three tips of A2 and two Trivia Questions. During the C1 session the callers called to 11 participants. The first tip was called by Karin and Greg, the second tip was called by Dave Hutchinson and the third was called by Dave Eno. During the second tip Dave introduced us to a couple of C2 moves, which were Kick Off and Cross Kick Off. Kick Off is where the designated dancers run and roll and the dancers they run around do a partner tag. Cross Kick Off is where the designated dancers cross run and roll and the dancers they cross run around do a partner tag. During the A2 session the callers called to 12 participants. The first tip was called by Karin and Greg. The second tip was called by Dave Eno. The first sequence was called by Dave Eno, Dave Hutchinson and David Boney (one of the dancers). They did a super job. The rest of the tip Dave Eno called it. The third tips was called by Dave Hutchinson. In between the A2 tips were had two Trivia questions. I had a great evening of dancing with friends and to Dave Eno, Karin Rabe, Greg Moore and Dave Hutchinson.

After the first dance we went to town to buy more dirt. We decided to go to Atwoods for the dirt because we needed to get some bleach for the septic. Atwoods has a great price on gallons of bleach. The bleach is a lot cheaper at Atwoods than Dollar Tree. The Dollar Tree container is a lot smaller. The service at Atwoods was excellent. The lady, who helped us was very friendly and told us where to get the dirt. She also helped Larry load a couple of cases of bleach on the cart (6 gallons per cases). The dirt was outside. We paid for the dirt and then drove to where it was and Larry loaded the five bags in the truck. He could have gotten someone to help us but he decided to do it himself. I tried to help but I was more in the way.

Larry was reading one of his Reddit groups and someone said, that you could get a $5.00 pizza from Little Caesar's using Amazon Prime Day. People thought they were crazy. Larry got on Amazon and found out the person was correct. Prime Day starts Tuesday and they had a special promotion, that started June 15th and went through the 25th. If you use a promo code from Amazon you can get a $5.00 large cheese or peperoni pizza from Little Caesar's. You're allowed one pre day and can only get up to five pizzas. You have to order it online. After we finished our shopping at Atwoods Larry ordered a large pepperoni pizza from Little Caesar's. We picked it up on the way home.

After Dave's dance we started to watch the final season of Grantchester on PBS, which is the 11th season. After Larry went to bed I watched the second Transformers movie, which was Transformers : Revenge of the Fallen from our collection of movies. I ended up doing 3,000 steps.
