Saturday 6-13-26 Yardwork, Working Out & New Pinball Game

 

Hot humid day

We had a hot humid day. The morning temperature was 75 degrees and the high was 95 degrees.

We spent the morning doing yardwork. Our mowing company is suppose to mow every other Thursday but they are apparently running behind. We have had the same mowing company for years but the last few years they have not been terribly reliable. The last couple of weeks we have had a lot or rain and our yard was getting quite tall so today we mowed it. When I woke up at 8:00 Larry was already mowing. He had done the front and was on the process of  doing the backyard. I got the weedeater out and started to cut around the landscaping bricks. When I got to the back Larry was resting, the temperature and high humidity was getting to him. He also said he had to mow the front yard three times before liking the outcome. When I got to the back-yard my arms were tired so I put the weedeater down and started mowing. After resting a bit Larry picked up the weedeater and finished trimming, he edged around the driveway and trimmed around the trees. Then he treated for bugs and weeds. He also dug out some rocks in the backyard because they were in the way of mowing. We were outside until 10:30. The yards look good.

I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Two Game Tango Mini of 10 games (5 Klondike and 5 Free Cell). It took me 1 hour, 25 minutes and 5 seconds, which put me in 15th place in my group. I played Angry Birds Friends and Angry Birds 2.

I worked out on the Wii Fit for a half hour. I worked out with two Aerobics exercises for 12 minutes (Rhythm Boxing for 8 minutes and Super Hula Hoop for 4 minutes), four Balance Games for 12 minutes (Ski Jump twice for 2 minutes, Ski Slalom twice for 2 minutes, Soccer Heading twice for 4 minutes and Table Tilt once for 4 minutes) and two Training Plus exercises for 6 minutes (Segway for 4 minutes and Perfect 10 once for 2 minutes). I had a great workout.

I worked out with the Synth Riders for a half hour with four songs twice. The songs were Go!, Lazer Pink, Riot and Tonight. While working out with Lazer Pink I earned one new high score and Tonight I earned two outstanding scores and one new high score.

Yesterday, Larry received a notification, that our favorite developer of pinball games, Marty, who's out of France was back. He stopped releasing games to the public due a year ago. He wrote to thank everyone for their support during his absence and saying he's back. He released a new game, which is Michael Jackson. Larry downloaded the game and installed it in both 2D and VR on both cabinets. Marty's games are not designed for VR so it is normally a bit of a challenge for Larry to get them working, this table was more difficult than normal. It took him some time to get it to work in VR. Once he got it to work he played the game. It's a great looking game and plays super.

I played six pinball games. I played three games on the mini cabinet, which were Jaws, Michael Jackson and The Godfather. I played three games on the big cabinet, which were Michael Jackson, Terminators and Willow. While playing Terminators I got a new high score for the challenge of 24,418,630, which put me in 76th place out of 99 participants.

In the evening we watched Oppenheimer from our collection of movies. It is a three hour movie and is very good. When Larry went to bed I watched Top Gun: Maverick and Shrek 2 from our collection of movies. I ended up doing 5,000 steps.
