Tuesday 3-3-26 Liberty Hill Dance, Puzzle & Games

We had an awesome day.

The weather was very warm. The day started out being overcast. The clouds rolled out about 10:00 am and a wind out of the south came up very strong. The morning temperature was 66 degrees and the high was 88 degrees.

Yesterday it was so warm in the house we turned on  the air conditioner. It also ran today. Beginning of March and we already needed the A/C.

We spent most of the day in Liberty Hill dancing at the Ski's house. We left the house at 10:15 am to go to the dance. We stopped by the UPS Store to pickup our mail because we were expecting new credit cards. Then we continued on to Liberty Hill. We stopped in Liberty Hill to eat our lunch. After lunch we went to the Ski's house to dance.

We got to the Ski's at 11:45 am. We said our hellos to Kay, Bob, Henry and Susan. Then we danced C1 via tape for an hour to four callers; Tony Collingwood from the U.K., Don Moger from Canada, Ross Howell and Johnny Preston. We had a super time.

At 1:00 pm we danced to John Kephart for two hours. We had enough dancers for two squares and three extra dancers sitting out. We had good news, Kay danced a little bit after her heel surgery and she is no longer on crutches. John Kephart workshopped Spin Chain the Gears, Motivate, Switch to an Hourglass and other moves the dancers were having problems with. John Carlson called one tip. We had a fun afternoon dancing at the Ski's house.

Get a partner and dance

I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong before going to bed. I did the Daily Event before going to the dance. The event was Event: Two Game Tango Mini of 10 games (5 Free Cell and 5 Pyramid). It took me 40 minutes and 25 seconds, which put me in 17th place in my group. I played Angry Birds Friends and Angry Birds 2.

I played ten games of pinball. I played five games of pinball on the mini cabinet, which were Ace of Speed, Batman Forever, No Good Goffers!, Pirate's Life and Pirates of the Caribbean. I didn't get o the board but had fun. I played five games of pinball on the big cabinet, which were JP Viper Night Drivin, Magic Pinball, Medieval Madness, Metallica and Theatre of Magic. While playing Magic Pinball I entered my initials on the board as high score #4. I had fun playing pinball.

When we got home from the dance we watched the YouTube videos of people we follow. While watching television I worked on my jigsaw puzzle.

After dinner we watched a documentary on YouTube about Willa Cather. It was shown on PBS and is now posted on YouTube. Larry has read a few books written by Willa Cather and I read one of her books. Willa is a very interesting woman, she wrote 12 novels, some about life on the plains in Nebraska. She was born December 7, 1873 and died April 24, 1947. She earned a BA from the University of Nebraska. The documentary was very well done and interesting. Then we started to watch The English Patient on Kanopy until it crashed 45 minutes into the movie. We'll try to finish watching it tomorrow. We went to Hoopla and watched a movie called The Great Buck Howard. It was a comedy about a young man who became an assistant to an illusionist in decline. It starred Colin Hanks, Tom Hanks and John Malkovich. We enjoyed the movie. When Larry went to bed I watched The Sound of Music from our movies collection. I ended up doing 2,000 steps.
