Tuesday 3-10-26 Dreary Day, Liberty Hill Dance, Puzzle & Games

Dreary Day

It was an overcast day, which made it very humid and hot. The morning temperature was 70 degrees and the high temperature was 82 degrees. We are on thunderstorm watch until 2:00 am. We had a sprinkle now and then. It was so humid and hot that when we were dancing we were drenched with sweat.

We spent the day in Liberty Hill at Kay and Bob's house dancing C1/A2 for three hours. On the way there we stopped and ate lunch. We arrived at the Ski's house at 11:40 am. We said our hellos to Kay, Bob, Henry and Susan. We were greeted by the Ski's dog, Baily. It took them a bit to calm her down. Once she was calm she was quiet through out the dance. We danced two couple C1 via tape for an hour. Lynn showed up so we had an extra person to dance C1. We danced to Lee Kopman, Johnny Preston, Don Moger and Ross Howell. Lee was hard to dance to because he called some old moves that are no longer called. We tried Don but was once again were unsuccessful to complete a tip. We had a great hour of dancing C1 via tapes.

I baked some cookies last night and Ann brought tootsie rolls to snack on. We were thanked for bringing the snacks. Kay and Bob always have hard candies available.

At 1:00 we danced A2 for two hours. We had enough dancers for two squares and a couple of people sitting out. John Kephart called the dance except one tip, where John Carlson called. We did something different this week, we used the computer to tell us what square we were in and with whom we will be dancing with. Lynn had brought her laptop and had the program loaded on it, which was written by Vic Cedar. Larry and I didn't dance with each other throughout the dance. Next time we'll have Lynn put us together. Because we like dancing with each other. The computer works but I really prefer the cards. We had a fun afternoon dancing to John Kephart and John Carlson and with friends.

While driving home on I35 we saw a cute delivery truck for Oak Farms. It made us smile, it was the first time we saw this. It was a cow looking out the back of the truck over crates.

I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong before going to bed. The event was Event: Two Game Tango Mini of 6 games (3 Klondike and 3 Pyramid). It took me 10 minutes and 59 seconds, which put me in 17th place in my group. I played Angry Birds Friends and Angry Birds 2.

I played eight pinball games. I played four games on the mini cabinet, which were Jaws, Medieval Madness, Monster Bash and Red & Ted Road Show. While playing Jaws I became high score #1. I played four games on the big cabinet, which were Cactus Canyon, Elvira and the Party Monsters, Fish Tales and Willow. While I played the games I became high score #2 in Cactus Canyon, I became high score #4 in Fish Tales and I became high score #1 Willow. When I played Elvira and the Party Monsters I got a new high score for the challenge but it didn't move me up. I'm # 47 out of 51 participants. I had a great day of playing pinball.

In the evening we finished watching Young Sherlock on Prime. When Larry went to bed I went back watching The Puzzle Lady on PBS. While watching television I worked on my jigsaw puzzle. I ended up doing 3,500 steps.
