Monday 3-16-26 Cold Front, Trip Prep, Di C1 Dance & Workout

Cold Front

We had a cold windy day. Another cold front is coming. The weather report has said it's going to be cold tomorrow with wind out of the north. Today the morning temperature was 36 degrees and the high was 50 degrees. The temperature started to drop at 2:00 pm by 10:30 pm it was 37 degrees. It was windy all day. The wind came out of the north.

This month is the sixth anniversary of square dancing through Zoom. We are very grateful that some of the callers are continuing to call. We are still dancing to Di Green, Terry McCann, Ett McAtee, Dave Eno, Karin Rabe and Greg Moore and occasionally to Loren Smith. The callers say they'll continue calling as long as they are needed. We are very grateful to them otherwise we probably wouldn't be dancing.

Get a partner and dance

We started the day out by attending Di Green and Terry McCann's Weekly C1 dance at 10:00 am for an hour with 15 dancers. Di had written an e-mail to ask everyone to wear green and whatever else we wanted to celebrate St. Patrick Day, which is tomorrow. Di and Terry wore their green square dancing tee-shirt and Di wore a St. Patrick Day hat. Larry and I wore a green shirts and a green hat. Some of the other dancers dressed up for the occasion. Larry danced four of the tips with me. Di workshopped a few moves, which were Little, Scoot and Little and Counter Rotate. She worked shopped the moves in both the right and left directions. The dancers were from the United Kingdoms, United States, Canada, France and Germany. We had a super time dancing with friends.

After the dance we had lunch. Larry put in an online delivery from Walmart, which came to the house by 12:00. Then we started to load the Minnie with food. I worked on loaded the Minnie for about an hour. Tomorrow I'll load up the clothes in the Minnie. While putting the food in the Minnie I wiped the inside down, swept the Minnie out and washed the floor.

The Aerobic routines were Rhythm Boxing for 8 minutes and Basic Run for 2 minutes. Today started a new week for the Solitaire challenges, I wanted to earn a golden ticket so I played 16 games of my choice. Then I played the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. I didn't get around to doing the games before going to bed so I did them today. The event was Event: Experts Only Mini of 5 games. It took me 59 minutes and 25 seconds, which put me in 15th place in my group. I played Angry Birds Friends and Angry Birds 2.

I played ten games of pinball. I played five games on the Mini, which were Great Houdini, No Good Goffers!, Pirate's Life, Queen and The Goonies. While playing Queen I became Grand Champion. I played five games on the cabinet, which were Elvira House of Horrors Blood Red Kiss, Elvira Scared Stiff, Jaws, JP Space Cadet and Star Trek the Next Generation. While playing Elvira Scared Stiff I became high score #2. I had a good day of playing pinball.

In the evening we watched a movie on Hoopla called One Life. It was based on a true story about British humanitarian Nicholas Winton (Anthony Hopkins as 79 year old Winton and Johnny Flynn as 29 year old Winton), who rescued 669 predominantly Jewish children in German-occupied Czechoslovakia in 1938-1939. It was a great movie. After Larry went to bed I watched the fourth Jason Bourne movie, which was Jason Bourne. I ended up doing 4,000 steps.
