Thursday 12-12-24 Mini Pinball Project, Diamond Painting, Lunch & Games

 

Smile and have fun

We had another beautiful day with the high 61 degrees.

Larry started the day out working on his mini pinball cabinet. He worked on the project most of the day.

I started the day out by doing my Solitaire games. I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Pyramid Mini of 5 games. It took me 14 minutes and 11 seconds, which put me in 26th place in my group. Then I played the challenges in Angry Birds and Friends and I played Angry Birds 2.

While Larry was working on his project he realized he didn't have the size of screws he needed so he decided to make a trip to The Home Depot. He was pleasantly surprised to find not only the screws he needed but some others he was getting low on. He likes to have lots of different sizes on hand. 

Afterwards we went across the highway to Cracker Barrel for lunch. We hadn't eaten at Cracker Barrel in many years. It was very busy, we were lucky to find a parking spot. When we walked through the store to get to the restaurant we were shoulder to shoulder with people. We asked the waitress if they are always this busy, she said yes. We shared the grilled chicken BLT platter, it came with a chicken patty on a bun with lettuce, tomatoes, bacon and an order of fries. For dessert we ordered apple pie, the waitress came back saying they were out, we then ordered pecan pie, she returned saying they were also out of that but she brought along  a piece of chocolate pecan pie and asked if it was ok. We said sure. The pie came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The food was very reasonable, food was tasty and the service was good.

When we got home Larry continued working on his pinball project. I worked on my diamond painting.

Later in the afternoon I worked out with The Synth Riders for 45 minutes. I played Bounce Arcade for an hour. I played all four games, which were Asteroid Outpost, Gunpowder Gulch, Monster Manor and Pirate's Plunger. While playing Gunpowder Gulch I put two outlaws in jail so I got the Jail House Break Multi-ball. I also got the gunfight and failed because I shot a civilian. When playing Pirate's Plunger I got a bronze metal for my score and raised the sails. When playing the Monster Manor I lit the candles and caught a few ghosts. At the end of the game I had the jack-o-lanterns show up. I had a lot of fun learning about the games.

I played seven different games of pinball. They were the weekly challenge of The Lord of the Rings, Elvira Party Monsters, Mustang, Dead Pool, Fish Tales, Playboy and Black Rose. While playing The Lord of the Rings I got a new high score of 35,512,160, which put me in 16th place out of 30 participants.

In the evening we started to watch the second season of Elementary. Then I watched Hildalgo. I finished watching the first season of Everwood and started the second season. I ended up doing 18,000 steps, which put me in 3rd place in my group.
