Friday 12-6-24 Dancing, Crafting, Lunch & New Meta Game

 

It's Friday let's dance

We had a wonderful day. The day started with the temperature in the high 30's and the high was 51 degrees. In the evening the rain rolled in. It was just a drizzle. It's suppose to be around through the day tomorrow. 

Larry spent the day doing Christmas crafting on his Cameo. He worked on making gift card holders.

I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Hard Road Mini of five games. It took me 44 minutes and 27 seconds, which put me in 24th place in my group. Then I moved onto playing Angry Birds.

We went to town to do some errands. First stop was the UPS Store to pickup a package that was waiting for us, it was Christmas gifts from Larry's aunt Barbara, She always includes some treats, there were 6 dipped Oreo cookies (2 light chocolate mint, 2 vanilla candy cane and 2 chocolate), chocolates and caramel cashew popcorn. Next was Walmart, Larry was getting low on white cardstock for his crafting. While there we picked up a few more items. Then we went to The Home Depot. Larry needed a clip to put the shaker motor in his new pinball machine. 

After doing the errands we stopped by Chilis and had lunch. We hadn't eaten there in a long time. We shared a bacon burger and order of fries. The service was excellent and the food was good.

 Larry was reading his Facebook pinball groups, someone put up a link to a new VR pinball game for the Meta VR headset. The game is called Bounce Arcade. It a game where you are inside a pinball game and you use your controller to hit the pinball balls. So far there are four different games: Gunpowder Gulch, Pirate's Plunder, Monster Manor and Asteroid Outpost. Larry bought the program, I played all four games. The game starts off with a tutorial where you learn and practice how to use the controllers and control the ball. All programs should have tutorial like this. I had fun playing the game.

I worked out with the Synth Riders for 45 minutes.

Larry installed a new color VR DMD on Theatre of Magic. It's a Christmas DMD theme. Then he played the game. I played five different pinball games, which were the weekly challenge of Medieval Madness, Theatre of Magic, Terminator 3, No Fear and Playboy. When playing Medieval Madness I got a new high score. The new DMD on Theatre of Magic was very nice and I put my initials in as high score #4. When playing Terminator 3 I entered my initials as high score #4. I had fun.

In the evening I attended Ett McAtee's Weekly A2 dance at 6:30 for an hour. Ett called four tips to 9 participants. She helped dancers out when they were in the wrong place by telling them where they should be. She usually doesn't do this. I had fun dancing with friends.

While I danced Larry did some crafting. After the dance we watched a couple of episodes of Elementary. Then I continued watching the first season of Everwood. I ended up doing 18,000 steps, which put me in 3rd place in my group.
