Saturday 12-14-24 Foggy Morning, Auto Swap Meet, New Pinball Game & Games

 

Foggy Morning

We woke up to a thick fog. Once the fog lifted the sun came out and it was a beautiful day with high humidity. The high temperature was 80 degrees.

We started the day out by going to Bell County Expo Center for the annual Little Valley Auto Swap. This event has been going on for 41 years and is for two days. It is in the Exposition Exhibit building and the parking lot. It was huge. 

We started from the house in fog but by the time we got to the Expo Center the fog had lifted. We walked around the swap meet for about an hour or so. We saw a lot of old engines, old auto parts, variety of tools such as wrenches, screw drivers and more, match box cars, stickers, tee-shirts, signs, a few old cars and trucks and more. The match box cars booths got a lot of attention. People came with carts to put the items they bought. Larry bought a set of grips for his vise. There were a lot of people. We had fun just walking around and looking at what people had to sell.

I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Two Game Tango Mini of 6 games (3 Pyramid and 3 Tri Peaks). It took me 11 minutes and 57 seconds, which put me in 12th place in my group. Then I played Angry Birds.

I worked on my diamond painting.

I worked out with the Synth Riders for an hour.

I played Bounce Arcade. Today I played Pirate's Plunder and Monster Manor. While playing Pirate's Plunder I raised the flags, loaded the canons, fought the skulls and went to war with other pirate boats. I got a new high score and got a bronze metal. I didn't play as well as I usually do when playing Monster Manor but I still had a lot of fun.

A new pinball game (Nightmare Before Christmas), was just released. It had some problems but later in the day the developers released a new version. Larry installed it in both 2D and VR. It took him awhile to install but it works great on both versions. Then he played the game to make sure it works.

I played five different games of pinball. They were Nightmare Before Christmas, The Lord of the Rings, Iron Man, Great Houdini and Playboy. When playing Great Houdini I put me initials as #1 high score.

The Nightmare Before Christmas is a very good game, it combines two holidays (Halloween and Christmas). The developers did a fantastic job, the graphics are terrific, the sounds are very good and it plays great. Currently Larry is Grand Champion and high score #2. I am high score #1.

In the evening we started watching the fifth season of Miss Scarlet. Then I watched Finding Forester and an episode of Everwood. I ended up doing 17,000 steps, which put me in 3rd place in my group.
