Cadence Bank Center
We had a wonderful day.
We started out the day by going to the Cadence Bank Center (formally Bell County Expo Center). Larry read that the Gypsy Vanner National Championship was going on. It's the largest pure bred gypsy horse show in North America. It has been running for 17 years. This was the highlight of the season, the horses compete in halter, showmanship, western, English, trail, driving, dressage and western dressage. We don't know anything about horses but we like to attend events just to watch the horses compete. We enjoy seeing how gorgeous the riders dress and how beautiful the horses are. We were at the center at 9:00 and not much was going on. We walked around and looked at the horses. A lot of the stalls were beautifully displayed with colorful signs and decor. We watched one event, where the handlers go through an obstacle course. The event really isn't a spectator event unless you know someone who's competing. But we still had fun walking around.
I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: World Tour Mini of 10 games. It took me 50 minutes and 15 seconds, which put me in 24th place in my group. Then I played Angry Birds.
Larry finished the book, American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer. The book was really long and written like a history book, lots of facts, people and dates. It was not written chronologically and lots of information was repeated multiple times. While he liked learning about Oppenheimer he said he didn't think he would recommend this book, it was unnecessarily long.
He wants to build a new computer and has spent days reading information and watching YouTube videos. Today he placed an order for most of the parts.
I played seven games of pinball. They were Halloween, Fun House, Godzilla, Dirty Harry, Elvira Party Monsters, Attack From Mars and The Addams Family. Whew playing Godzilla I entered my initials as high score #4. I had a great afternoon of playing pinball.
Attack From Mars
Dirty Harry
Elvira Party Monsters
Fun House
Godzilla
The Addams Family
I worked out with the Synth Riders for an hour.
I continued working on the Sea Turtle diamond painting.
In the evening we watched Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Afterwards I watched Avengers: Age of Ultron. I continued watching the second season of Whitstable Pearl. I ended up doing 18,000 steps, which put me in 2nd place in my group.
