10-17 Happy Monday

We didn't do too much today. We didn't have any projects that needed to be done so we basically hung around the house. After breakfast Larry took me to the gym so I could workout. It was cool outside and the wind was blowing so we took Flo with us. Saturday, we went to an RV Show in Round Rock at Dell Diamond and left her alone for a few hours. Sunday, we danced all day and left her alone for ten hours, so today we decided she would enjoy going with us. I worked out for about an hour, started out on the treadmill for 35 minutes and then the weight machines for 20 minutes. When we got back to Flo she was laying down and it was still cool. In the evening we were meeting Louis and Belinda to go to A lessons at Allemande Hall so we had to vacuum the car. I also baked some brownies to take with us. While they were cooking I made lunch and when they were finished I laid down for a nap. A couple hours later I woke up and did dishes. While I was taking a nap Larry was experimenting with a wall timer he got from the Home Depot Seeds program and he was trying to figure out how he could make an adapter for his CPAP machine so that when we are camping without power hookups he can still use the machine. After playing with the power supply for the machine he did some research and found out he couldn't make one himself, he would have to order one from the company that makes his CPAP machine.

After dinner we met Louis and Belinda at Walmart and went to the A lessons with the TIPS Club. We learned three new moves and they are now half way through the A2 moves. Hopefully, they will be done by the end of the year. We had a very relaxing day. Happy Monday!!!!

10-16 What an Awesome Day

We had a n awesome day in Braircliff. Jimmy Johnson tries to get a group of people together once a month on a Sunday to do some DBD square dancing. Braircliff is about 110 miles from our house so it takes a bit over two hours to get there. The dancing starts at 2:00 and finishes at 7:00. There are two sessions two hours long and an hour for dinner. Before going to the Braircliff I put a cooler together with sandwich fixings for our dinner. Last night I baked brownies with cookie dough in them to take with us for everyone to snack on. Today there were three squares of dancers and everyone had to dance every tip. The dancing is computer controlled, it tells your which square you're in. It's was a long day but we have a great time. Jimmy gets us doing plus moves out of positions we're not use to being in which makes it very challenging. By the end of the day we were exhausted.

A gorgeous full moon
On the way home it was dark and the moon was gorgeous. When we got home Flo was happy to see us. After saying hi I fed her dinner and then I took her outside. After changing clothes Larry and I relaxed until Larry went to bed. Most nights he goes to bed earlier then I do. After he went to bed I worked on my book and played computer games. We had an awesome day.

10-15 Satisfying Saturday

RV Show in Round Rock
This morning was overcast, this time of year in Central Texas is seems most mornings are a bit overcast but by afternoon the clouds are gone. Larry got an email indicating there was a RV Show this weekend at Dell Diamond in Round Rock, We decided to go. We thought about taking Flo along but Larry thought it might get too warm in the car. It took us over an hour to get to the show. We were surprised to see so many RVs. Crestview RV Center and Princess Craft Campers were the main companies there. Crestview had  Class A, B, and C motorhomes, B+s, fifth wheels and travel trailers. Princess Craft Campers had travel trailers, fifth wheels and truck campers. It took us an hour and a half to walk through the show. While walking around we ventured in some of the RVs. The interior in some of them were very nice, some cabinets were rounded and the drawers slide in and out very smoothly. Most of the RVs didn't have a stove and I really like my stove, when we go camping I like to bake cookies, pizzas and make things like enchiladas . The interior of most of them are dark and they have leather like furniture surfaces,  I prefer cloth. There were a lot of nice RVs but we didn't see one that we really needed. We know eventually we'll have to buy a new one considering our Minnie is so old, of course our new one will not be brand new. We had a great time walking through the RVs. On the way home we stopped by Taco Bueno for lunch. We like their food but we don't have one around us so when we saw the one in Round Rock we decided to take the opportunity to eat there.

On the way home we stopped by HEB and picked up a couple of items and then we walked next door to Papa Murphy's and picked up a pizza for dinner. By the time we got home Flo was very excited. She greeted Larry at the door hopping up and down which she hasn't been able to do for a long time.

Larry has feet problems and normally dances in tennis shoes, they don't slide well so he uses dance socks on his shoes so they will slide. He doesn't want to cover up his Patriotic shoes with the dance socks so he ordered some leather for the soles. The other day when we were in Walmart we picked up contact cement to attach the leather to the soles. The leather arrived today so he worked on putting the leather on his shoes while I worked out with Just Dance and Golds Gym. Whenever I workout Flo doesn't like it so she goes outside or if Larry is in his workroom she will go with him. He opened the garage door and the door from his workroom so Flo could go outside if she wanted to. She was happy about this. I worked out for an hour considering I didn't go to the gym.

Now Larry and I have Patriotic shoes to wear square dancing
In the evening we watched YouTube videos, The GizWiz and a couple of PBS shows off the ROKU. We watched a show from NOVA called Super Tunnel. This was about a group of engineers working on the super underground tunnel in London for their mass transit system. It showed how the engineers are accomplishing this. Later I worked on my book and played computer games.

10-14 Patriotic Project

Patriotic Shoes without stars
Yesterday, I decided not to go to the gym so Larry decided to work on a shoe project. Last month Larry converted a pair of my shoes from an off white to a patriotic color scheme, they came out great so he decided he would make a matching pair for himself. He had a pair of brown dress shoes that he doesn't wear, he decided to use these shoes on his conversion project. He started the project by cleaning the shoes with Acetone, this removes any leather protection from the shoe and removes the shine. He didn't have to buy any leather paint for this job considering he had more than enough left over from my shoes. The first color he applied was the white. He had to put six coats of white on to cover the brown. Later on he applied the blue. Before doing this he got my shoes and used them as a pattern. He applied five coats of the blue considering the blue covered the white easy. In between each coat of paint he used his heat gun to dry the paint. After applying the blue he stopped for the day. This morning he picked up the project from where he had left off. The next color was the red stripes. He taped off the area he didn't want to be red. His shoes are larger so he made the stripes wider than my shoes. He applied five coats of the red. After the paint had dried he removed the tape from the shoes. Next he had to do a bit of touch up work and now the shoes just need stars. They came out great.

While the blue was drying we had lunch and then Larry took me to the gym. I did the treadmill for 35 minutes and the weight circuit area for 45 minutes. The circuit is setup for 30 minutes but I was the only one there so I did an extra set on each machine. After I finished my workout we went home. Flo was very happy to see us. Flo surprised me by being on the couch, she hasn't been able to get on the couch by herself in a long time. After changing her medication she has been having great days. She can gets off the floor almost all of the time by herself and she has been walking between our legs which she hasn't been able to do for a long time, I hope this continues for awhile, I know she's old but it's great to see her more active.

In the evening we watched a few shows on PBS through the ROKU. Two of the shows were short clips on dogs called Do Dogs Dream and Do Dogs Miss Us. These short clips were cute. We watched two POV episodes, the first was From This Day Forward, it was a documentary of a couple that was married for 35 years and the male was transgender. The second one was My Gal Rosemarie, which was a documentary of an elderly couple getting older. We also watched YouTube videos on RV Living. We enjoyed both documentaries. Then I worked on my book and played the daily challenges.

10-13 I'm So Excited!!!

Today was a great day. We didn't have anything on the agenda. Larry wrote a review for The Home Depot Seeds Program. I worked on a few Sudoku puzzles. Flo really wanted to do something so I sat outside with her a couple of times enjoying the nice fall breeze. I worked out with Gold's Gym for a half hour. While I was working out Larry looked out the back window and saw a couple of deer laying in the grass. Deer come through our yard frequently but this was the first time we have seen them laying in the yard. We went to Sun City to learn the last two moves of A2, the all 8 and all 4 couples concepts. The Sundancers reserve a room from 5:00 to 8:00, our lessons are 5:00 to 6:00 and the rest of the time they dance A moves. If they have enough people they do one C tip. We stayed all the way through their dance, every other tip was at the class level so the students got the opportunity to dance and gain more experience. During our dances they did a lot of the concepts we learned tonight, this was a little difficult for the rest of the dancers because they said theses concepts aren't usually called at a dance. Larry and I are very excited, we have now been introduced to all the A1 and A2 moves. We had a super evening. We're still going to go to Mondays lessons at Allemande hall in Waco to get some floor time and help keep two squares at the lessons.

Bush's Chicken just opened a brand new restaurant that is on our route home from Sun City so we stopped there for dinner. We seldom eat fried chicken, maybe once or twice a year. Their chicken tenders and rolls were excellent. When we got home Flo was waiting by Larry's chair for us. She was happy to see us. Then I did dishes. I worked on my annual book and computer games until I went to bed. Be Happy!!!!!!

10-12 A Normal Day

We didn't do much today but we still had fun. Started off the day by going to the gym where I did the thirty minutes circuit area, thirty-five minutes on the treadmill and ten minutes of stretching. When I do the treadmill I usually do the hill program at the speed of 4.0 but today I changed to the fat burning program, by doing this I didn't burn as many calories but I burned more fat. I had a great workout. On the way home we swung by The UPS Store to pick up our mail and a package waiting for us. When we got home Flo was waiting for us at the garage door. She was very happy to see us.

After lunch we stayed around the house. I did three loads of laundry. While I was doing this Larry worked on his Seeds Program reviews. I left the front door open so Flo could come in and out of the house, well that was a mistake, I didn't tell Larry so he wasn't monitoring her on the cameras so she started to walk to the lake to go swimming. Our neighbor and her boys tried to get her to come back with treats but she wouldn't. The lady came to the door and told us that Flo was walking down the street. We thanked her and then got the car to go get her. She had only made it a couple more doors down from our neighbor. She was happy we came to her. I put her in the car and we went home. She was worn out, she was panting heavy like she wanted to go for a swim so I was gong to take her for a swim. Larry told me she was limping and he didn't think it was a good idea. At first I was upset with him but I got over it considering he was right. It didn't take her long to cool off.

In the evening we watched YouTube videos about RV Living and an Amazon movie called Gosford Park. It was a British mystery where a group of rich Britons gather for a shooting weekend. It was a good movie. Afterwards I worked on my book and played computer games. Have a fun time.

10-11 All Done

The Qsee Security System Cameras
Larry finished installing the Qsee Security System this morning, it didn't take too long. All the cameras are now working and adjusted to where he is happy with them, they really work great. When we finished the security camera project Larry took me to the gym. I haven't been to the gym since Thursday so it was a little rough working out. I did the treadmill for a half hour and then worked with weight machines for a half hour. After my workout we walked next door to Ace Hardware. Larry is thinking about lowering a couple of the security cameras, he thinks they might work even better. He is still working on ideas of how to do this. We left Ace Hardware empty handed. The next stop was home.

After we had lunch Larry wanted to put the boat in the lake but I really didn't feel like it, instead we loaded Flo into the car and took her for a swim at Rogers Park. She hadn't been swimming for awhile. Larry parked really near the water but Flo is use to walking a certain route so she walked to the boat ramp and walked down it, it was hard on her, her back end gave out once. I walked right behind her to make sure she was ok. She made it to the water. She swam right at the ramp for about ten minutes. A gentleman backed his boat trailer down the ramp, we said hi to him as he went to get his boat. Flo decided to walk up the ramp after him. As we were going up the ramp I asked Larry to come and get us. Flo was tired, once she was in the car we went back to the house.

The four Q-See Security System cameras are installed and working great and the one EZVIZ camera is installed to watch for wildlife in the backyard, Larry still had the small EZVIZ camera to do something with. He had installed one of the Q-See cameras to watch the driveway but it can not see all the way to the garage door, we don't really need to monitor this area but when Flo is laying by the garage doors you can't see her. Sometimes Flo wanders out of the yard so we like to watch her when she's outside. It didn't take him long to install the small camera next to the garage door and now we can see the entire driveway.

After he finished installing the camera he received an e-mail from The Home Depot Seed program that this months products are available so he got on the site and decided on the items he wanted. While he was doing this I went and took a nap. Flo went outside to sun. Larry didn't have to worry about keeping an eye on her he simply watched her from the computer via the cameras. When I finally got up it was almost time for dinner. Larry spent some time cleaning up his workroom which was a mess after our security camera project.

Watching television
In the evening we watched YouTube videos and Hell Boy II. Then I worked on my book and played the daily challenges of the Microsoft Solitaire. We had another great day.
