Camping at Charles Waters Campground
We had a gorgeous day. We had a lot of sunshine, which meant a lot of solar for the panels. I could play games and keep the batteries charged.
In the morning the temperature was 35 degrees. The high temperature was 72 degrees.
When Larry woke up it was 57 degrees in the Minnie so he turned on the Wave3 to get the chill out of the air. I woke up at 7:15 and turned the oven on to make cinnamon rolls. The oven helped warm up the Minnie.
After having breakfast we got ready for a morning hike. The morning hike for 3 miles and it took us 1.5 hours. We hiked from Charles Waters Campground to the trailhead, which was a half mile. The trail we took was at the check-in station for hunters. In this area the hunters hunt Ruffled Grouse and Gray Partridge. The Sharp-tail Grouse is located in the area but they can't hunt them. In 2021 the sharp-tail grouse were reintroduced in the Blackfoot, Bitterroot and Drummond Valleys as a part of an ongoing reintroduction effort and additional releases planned through 2026. Below are pictures of the three birds and the map of the area the reintroduction is. We followed the trail through the forest and up 300 feet in elevation to where there was a two mile loop. We crossed over the creek a few times. We had to hike on the neighbor's land for about .2 of a mile. Larry opened a man gate so we could get to the trail. It was made by the national forest. Once we were through the gate Larry closed it. We didn't hike too far on the property before it became national forest again. When we got to the loop we had hiked 1.5 from the campground. So we decided to turn around and go back to the Minnie. The loop was another two miles. The hike was very easy and beautiful.

When we got back from the hike Larry setup the solar panels to charge the batteries. Larry spent a couple of hours outside reading and chasing the sun for the panels. He finished one book and started a new one.
I played games. I played the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. I did the Daily Event, which was Event: World Tour Mini of 10 games. It took me 29 minutes and 24 seconds to complete, which put me in 12th place in my group.
For lunch we had chili. About 1:00 we went for an afternoon walk for a total of 1.75 miles. We walked around the campground and the Nature Trail, which was .5 miles. It was a great walk through the forest.
