Monday 10-26-26 Halloween Dancing, New Puzzle, Workout & More

Halloween Dance

We had an outstanding day.

The weather was perfect for doing this and that. The morning temperature was 57 degrees and the high was 80 degrees. It was overcast all day.

We attended Di Green and Terry McCann's Halloween Dance at 10:00 am. The dance was their weekly C1 but because Halloween is Saturday Di decided to make it a Halloween dance. Yesterday, Daylight Savings Time ended in the U.K. so today the dance was at 10:00 instead of 9:00. Terry didn't dance today so Di danced by herself. She called five tips to 19 participants. Larry danced four of the tips with me. We hadn't danced C1 to Di in over two months so we made a few mistakes. Di called a lot of four couple calls and didn't cue like she usually does. In between the tips the dancers visited with each other. Some of the dancers dressed up for Halloween and other wore orange and black. We had fun dancing with our Zoom family from Russia, the U.K., Canada, France, Germany and the U.S.

Larry continued working on the inkjet printer. It has taken days but he finally got it working correctly. Larry has a program that runs every week to send a print job the printer, this helps to keep the ink from drying up in the print head. When we are on the road we take the computer with us so this doesn't happen. This morning he installed the program on another computer that we will leave running when we travel, hopefully that will help keep this from happening again.

Larry worked on a small project for Louise, which was to build a box for her front door security camera. When he finished building the box he tested it out by putting one of our cameras in it. It worked perfect.

I finished Horse of Iron puzzle yesterday so today I started a new puzzle that Louise gave me for Christmas. The puzzle is The Garden Shed by Carol Decker. It's a 500 piece jigsaw puzzle. I ended up putting the frame together.

After lunch I unlocked the Minnie and made the bed using the new sheets, pillow cases and comforter. The comforter set is an eight piece set with two purple pillow cases, two purple, aqua and floral pillow cases, one small purple pillow case, purple fitted sheet, purple unfitted sheet and an aqua paisley floral comforter. Then I put a guilt, which was made by Larry's mom (Shirley) on top. Now the Minnie's bed is ready for our next trip. Then I put other items away in the Minnie. We won't be going on another long trip until the spring. But we will do short trips in Texas.

I played the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The Daily Event was Event: Two Game Tango Mini of 10 games (5 Klondike and 5 Free Cell). It took me 40 minutes and 38 seconds to complete, which put me in 9th place in my group. I played Angry Birds Friends and Angry Birds 2.

In the afternoon Larry worked on his jukebox.

I worked out for a half hour with the Wii Fit. I worked out with two exercises from the Aerobics menu for 10 minutes (Basic Run for 2 minutes and Rhythm Boxing for 8 minutes), three exercises from the Strength Training menu for 10 minutes ((Lunge 20 reps for 4 minutes, Single-Leg Extension 20 reps for 3 minutes and Torso Twist 6 reps for 3 minutes) and five exercises from the Yoga menu for 10 minutes (Chair for 2 minutes, Half-Moon for 2 minutes, Palm Tree for 2 minutes, Sun Salutation for 2 minutes and Warrior for 2 minutes). I had a great workout.

I played Gunpowder Gulch for 15 minutes on Bounce Arcade. While playing I earned a silver trophy, an extra ball, played three events (Safe Crack, Gun Fight and Quick Drawl two times) and did four multiballs (Safe Crack, S.A.L.O.O.N., Wooden Sign Rally and Jailbreak. I played very well considering I hadn't played Gunpowder Gulch since 7/12/26.

I played ten games of pinball. I played five games on the mini cabinet, which were Attack From Mars, Dr. No, Pirate's Life, Tales of the Arabian Nights and World Joker Poker. While playing Tales of the Arabian Nights I got all seven jewels and tried to rescue the princess from the genie. I played five games on the big cabinet, which were Beetlejuice, Creature From the Black Lagoon, Fish Tales, Playboy and The Addams Family. While playing Playboy I got all 12 playmates and played the Mansion Mania. I became Mansion Grand Champion. While playing The Addams Family I got a new high score for my challenge, which put me in 46th place out of 47 participants. I had a fun time playing pinball.

We watched YouTube videos. Larry has got caught up with all the YouTube videos we follow.

In the evening we watched Rooster Cogburn from our movies collection. It was a 1975 western starring John Wayne and Katherine Hepburn. I still enjoy watching it even though I have watched it many times. When Larry went to bed I watched Mission Impossible 2.

By the end of the day I did 4,000 steps.
