Awesome Day
The day started with rain and then moved to off and on sprinkles. We did see a few minutes of sunshine around 3:00.
Larry started the day out by making cinnamon french toast sticks for breakfast. Then he finished putting polyurethane on the final lower cabinet board. I didn't get out of bed until 8:30.
Does it seem we have been working on this pinball cabinet for a long time? We
have, first Larry had to design the cabinet, then came the cutting, fitting, sanding, banding, filling, painting,
staining and polyurethane. In total there are more than 41 pieces of wood.
After I had breakfast we decided to start working on the playfield cabinet of the pinball machine. First we took it a part. Then we decided on what pieces were going to be painted and what pieces were going to be stained. As we looked at the pieces Larry decided which ones needed to have wood filler applied to them. The two boards where the glass is going needed to get wood filling on the top of the slot.
Larry wanted to use another type of wood filler for these two slots. It was a putty type called J-B Weld Kwik Wood Epoxy Putty. He had used it when he rebuilt our dining room chairs and it worked excellent. So off to Walmart we went. While there we returned the spray paint we didn't need.
When we got home Larry worked on filling the slots with the putty. It took a few hours to set up. He also filled some small holes in other boards with the other filler. While Larry worked on the wood filler I sanded down the pieces of the playfield. Larry sanded the bottom boards and the board the monitor is assembled on. These two boards are old boards from our waterbed and were very rough. Larry had to get his power sander out to sand them. Now the boards are ready to be painted and stained.
I played my games. I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong before going to bed last night. Today I did the event, which was Event: Easy Street of 30 games. It took me 55 minutes and 25 seconds to complete, which put me in 12th place in my group. I played some Angry Birds.
I baked a dessert to take with us for our Thanksgiving celebration at our friends Renee and Robert. It was a couple of Betty Crocker desserts, Rainbow Fudge Brownie Cups and Rainbow Candy Cookie Cups.

In the evening I attended Dave Eno's Weekly C1/A2 dance at 6:30 for two hours. This week Karen Rabe and Greg Moore helped Dave call the A2 tips. The format was two C1 tips with 13 participants, five A2 tips with 14 to 12 participants and one C1 tip with 12 participants. In between the tips we had trivia about Thanksgiving. Karen, Greg and Dave did a great job of calling. I had a great time dancing to them and with friends.
While I danced Larry called Louise. After the dance we watched YouTube videos. When Larry went to bed I watched Murder on the Orient Express. Then I watched a couple of episodes of The Mallorca Files. I ended up doing 25,500 steps, which put me in 2nd place in my group.
