Square Dancing |
For the last two days Larry and I have been busy square dancing.
Every year in May, Jerry Story is invited to come to Texas to call two days of High Level DBD Square Dancing. This year Jerry had a medical problem so he asked Johnny Preston to fill in. There were two, two hour sessions each day at Allemande Hall and after each session an A2 tip was called. On Thursday the sessions were 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Today the sessions were 9:00 am to 11:00 am and 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Johnny did a super job of calling. He made the dancing very challenging. There were exactly six squares and the sessions were run by computer, everyone had to dance the entire time. We had a spectacular time dancing with friends. In between the sessions we went out to eat with our local friends (LuAnn, Dilbert, Connie, Harold, Judy and Louis). We went home at the end of each day considering Allemande Hall is about 40 miles from our house. By the time we got home we had left Flo by herself for eight hours so she was very excited to see us.
On Thursdays the Sundancers have their A dance. Larry had told them we probably wouldn't be there considering we were attending the High Level DBD Dances but after taking a quick nap we decided to attend. The dance is called via tapes and computer operated to tell you which square to be in. Tonight we had two squares and two extra couples. We had a great time.
By the time we got home we were exhausted but we had a super two days of square dancing. LIFE IS GOOD!!!!!
