A few days ago a friend of ours sent us multiple e-mails of the type I described. Larry looked each of them up on the net and via either Snopes.com or Factcheck.org he discovered they were false. He replied back to our friend with the following "Not sure where folks find these things, from the following this appears to be untrue" and he included a link to the site that indicated they were indeed false, normally the site will even comment on how this is a false chain e-mail that people are forwarding.
Our friend replied back that they should have checked this out better before they forwarded it, is that what will happen in the future or will they simply not forward things of this nature to us?
We have had friends in the past who knew these things were untrue and still insisted on sending them, explaining to them that they were not true did not change their ways, the only alternative was to simply delete any political e-mail they sent. How do you handle these?
