Sunday 1-25-26 Snow Day, New Weekly Challenge & More

Snow in Texas

We had a very cold day with the low of 16 degrees and the high of 23 degrees. The forecast for the next few days looks like it going to be cold. Our Tuesday dance in Liberty Hill has been cancelled due to the forecast.

It started to snow last night and was still snowing when I went to bed at 1:30. By morning there was snow on the ground it didn't cover everything but it was beautiful to see on the ground. The snow was icy and not enough to make snowballs. I touched the snow that's why I know it was icy. The deer had some troubles walking on the snow they would slide. We have a cameras that give us views around the house. We can watch the wildlife such as deer walking through the backyard and the frontyard. Below are a few more pictures of the snow.

There was enough snow that the neighbor's son Connor got a cardboard box and slid down the hill in his backyard. This was cool to see. There wasn't a lot of traffic going down our street because people decided to stay at home because it was too icy.

Larry started a new book on his e-reader. I spent most of the day working on the Cambridge jigsaw puzzle by Charles Wysocki.

I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong before going to bed last night. Today I did the event, which was Event: Two Game Tango of 20 games (10 Spider and 10 Tri Peaks). It took me 1 hour, 46 minutes and 41 seconds, which put me in 14th place in my group. I played Angry Birds Friends and Angry Birds 2,

I worked out with the Synth Riders for 40 minutes with fours songs twice. They were All Night, Free, L.O.V.E. and Phoenix. While working with All Night, L.O.V.E. and Phoenix I earned two outstanding scores. During the workout with L.O.V.E. I earned a new high score. While doing Free I missed the outstanding score by missing one ball each time. I had a super workout.

I played one game of Gunpowder Gulch on Bounce Arcade. I earned a silver trophy, played three events (Barrel Barrage, Quick Drawl and Gunfight) and three multiballs (S.A.L.O.O.N., Jail Breakout and Wooden Sign Rally). While playing the event gunfight I was successful in completing. The game started out bad but ended up being a good game.

Today is the beginning of a new week so I got a new Weekly Pinball Challenge, which is Cactus Canyon. We already have the game so Larry just had to change the number of balls from 5 to 3. Before the new challenge started I did last weeks challenge of X-Men. I played it for about an hour and was unsuccessful in getting a new high score. I ended up with a high score of 16,111.030, which put me in 91st out of 117 participants. I played the new weekly challenge of Cactus Canyon and my first high score was 11,620,760, which put me in 28th out of 30 participants. But it's the first day so I will play and try to get a better high score.

I played another two pinball games on the big cabinet and five pinball games on the mini cabinet. The two games on the big cabinet were Big Buck Hunter Pro and Fish Tales. I played few well but didn't get on the high score board. The games I played on the mini cabinet were Attack From Mars, Batman Forever, No Good Goffers!, Pirates of the Caribbean and Pirate's Life. While playing Pirate's Life I played two player three balls. Player number 2 was put on the board as high score #5. I played very well also.

In the evening we watched Eternal Beauty on Kanopy. It was a very weird movie and wasn't very good. Then I watched Captain America: The Winter Soldier out of our super hero movies collection and The Fox and the Hound 2 out of our collection of movies. I ended up doing 4,000 steps.
