Saturday 1-24-26 Winter Storm Arrival

 

Winter Storm

 

We spent the day keeping warm in the house. The weatherman was correct, the winter storm came in early in the morning. We started the day out with the temperature of 34 degrees at 6:00 am. As the day went on it dropped by the time Larry went to bed at 10:00 pm it was 20 degrees. We had some sleet in the morning. Places where it was damp it iced up. The wintery weather came back in the evening. I took some trash out and the garbage can was frozen closed but I was able to pull the top up. By the time we went to bed the ice and snow was coming down very steady . It's going to be very cold for a couple of days.

Larry started a book and finished it. He removed my photos from my VR headset.

 

Reading is fun

 

I played games I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong before I went to bed. I did the event this morning. It was Event: Free Cell Mini of 5 games. It took me 12 minutes and 14 seconds, which put me in 20th place in my group. I played Angry Birds Friends and Angry Birds 2.

I worked out with the Synth Riders for 30 minutes to four songs twice. The songs were Code War, Phoenix, Wolves and You Know That You Love Me. While playing Wolves and You Know That You Love Me I got two outstanding score on both and one new high score on both. The other two I didn't get a new high score or outstanding scores but did very well.

I played Monster Manor twice on Bounce Arcade. I didn't play well but had fun. The second game was the best, where I earned a bronze trophy, awoken the manor twice, tried to stun the manor once, played the jack-o-lantern multiball once and tried to play the spider multiball.

I played seven games of pinball. I played three games on the mini cabinet, which were Cactus Canyon, Fun House and Godzilla. While playing Fun House I became high score #3 and Godzilla I became high score #1. I played four games on the big cabinet, which were Elvira Scared Stiff, Fast Break, Nightmare Before Christmas and X-Men. I had fun playing pinball on the big cabinet even though I didn't get on the board.

I continued working on the Cambridge jigsaw puzzle by Charles Wysocki. 

In the evening we watched Holy Smoke on Kanopy. It was about a young girl who goes to India and ends up in a cult. Her parents trick her into coming home to Australia so she could be cured. It wasn't a very good movie. When Larry went to bed I watched Thor: The Dark World from our super hero collection of movies. I ended up doing 3,000 steps.
