Tuesday 5-8 Doing This and That

Another gorgeous day

It got up to 90 degrees again. We had an awesome day of doing this and that. 

The Minnie has a water pump that supplies water to our sinks and toilet, last fall it went bad and Larry replaced it but the new one never sounded right. He thought maybe the problem was with the plumbing and when he worked on the incoming plumbing the pump would seem to sound correct for a short period and then the problem would reoccur. In the spring and after working on this many times he finally decided there was probably something wrong with the new pump so he ordered another pump but from a different manufacture. The new pump arrived and it would not work at all so he returned it and decided we would live with the other pump until we got back from our trip. The new pump arrived so today Larry took out the old pump and installed the new one. It sounds a lot better, we hope that it continues sounding great.

We took the motorcycle with us on our trip and used it a number of times. When Larry was researching this particular motorcycle people had commented about the seat being really uncomfortable, he figured since we didn't plan to ride it very far it would be fine. Well, they were correct, the seat was very uncomfortable and it only took a few miles for it to start bothering you. Many of the same commenters said they used a seat cover made by Coleman. We ordered one and it came in so today he installed it.

The turn signals on the motorcycle are not self cancelling and it is very easy to forget to cancel them. When he ordered the seat cover he also ordered a couple of beepers. Larry wired the beepers into the turn signal wiring so now whenever the signal blinks the beeper goes off.

When Larry was finished with the seat cover and the beepers we went for a 20 mile ride. The seat cover and switches worked excellent. We had a super ride.

In the evening we continued to catch up on YouTube videos and watched the second episode of the second season of Unforgotten, it was on KLRU Sunday. Afterwards we started watching the fourth season of Bosch.
