Tuesday 5-15 First Day of Boating

Awesome Day

It's the time of year where we put the boat in the lake. Since acquiring the motorcycle we have been parking it near the front of the boat and it would have to be moved every time we take the boat out of the garage, time to rearrange the garage. We moved a shelve from the front of the garage to the back and this allows the motorcycle to be parked in front of the truck. This project didn't take as long as we thought because we only had to move a small shelving unit instead of the big unit we have.

The next thing we did was prepare the boat. We pulled it out of the garage, reinstalled the battery, hooked a hose up to the boat and started it up. Then we loaded up life jackets, water toys (wake board, wake surfer, ski and air chair) and gloves. Once everything was in the boat we loaded into the truck and headed towards Rogers Park on Lake Belton. The lake was very calm considering there wasn't any wind. The water temperature was 74 degrees which is a bit cool but Larry decided to ski. He got right up, since it was the first time this year he didn't go too far and didn't ski too hard. When he finished skiing it was my turn. I got right up and then I fell down. It took me awhile but I was able to get up again. We had a super time at the lake.

Crash, down I go

I'm up again and having fun

In the afternoon I decided to start a jigsaw puzzle. The name of the puzzle is Old Shoe House. This puzzle is going to be challenging considering the pieces are mini in size and it has 2000 pieces. But it will be fun to assemble.

After dinner we watched a PBS show from Amazon called Arthur & George. There was only one season, it had 3 episodes and each episode was 45 minutes long. It was a Sherlock Holmes series but didn't have Sherlock, instead it had the author in it. It was very good. We had a relaxing night.
