Camping at Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park
We had another warm day with sunshine. It started out at 57 degrees and got up to 81. We slept with the fan going and had to run the air conditioner in the afternoon. We were going to move on to another state park today but it does not open until tomorrow. We decided to stay here one more night, we had to move to another site because our site was already booked. There were a few open sites. Larry reserved site # 46, which was three site down from us. It wasn't perfectly level but it wasn't bad, didn't need our leveling blocks..
The camper, who took our site
We didn't have anything on our agenda so we spent the day relaxing with a book. Larry finished reading The Guncle Abroad by Steven Rowley and went back to reading the book he started before this book. We have about 11 days before The Guncle Abroad has to be returned to the Houston Public Library so I put Becoming Madam Secretary by Stephanie Dray on hold for a few days. I wanted to read The Guncle Abroad before it has to be returned.
Larry has now checked out two books using the Houston Library card and he has used it to read newspapers like: The NY Times, Dallas Morning News, The Guardian and USA Today. There are 100's available from all over the world, of course for some you would need to be able to read in different languages.
I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event today was Event: Pyramid Adventure of 20 games. It took me 1 hour, 36 minutes and 36 seconds to complete, which put me in 20th place in my group. Then I played Angry Birds.
About 3:30 I decided to walk around the campground for an hour and ten minutes for 3 miles to get some steps. I did another walk around the campground after dinner for another hour and 10 minutes for another 3 miles, By the end of the day I had gotten 19,000 steps.
While I was walking after dinner Larry walked over and took a shower. When I finished my walk I did the same.
We had a very relaxing day.
