Sunday 4-6-35 Cold Windy Overcast Day

 

 

Keeping warm

 

We had a very cold windy day. The rain was gone but the clouds stayed around. We woke up to brisk 39 degrees with a strong wind. It didn't get out of the 40s until 3:00 when the sun started to come out, it got to 51 degrees. By 5:30 the sun was shining and we had some blue skies and the wind died down.

I woke up around 7:30 and made blueberry pancakes for breakfast. 

Our little electric heater was having a hard time keeping up. It ran most of the day. We didn't have the rain or snow the weatherman had predicted but the wind made up for it. It was very strong. We decided we would stay at Hawthorn Bluff Campground another night because of the wind blowing so hard. We stayed around the Minnie all day.

Larry kept busy surfing the net on all sorts of stiffs. He said he wasn't motivated to start another book.

I spent the day playing games. I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Spider Adventure of 20 games. It took me 3 hours, 51 minutes and 4 seconds to complete, which put me in 18th place in my group. I got stuck on the two expert games. Then I played Angry Birds.

I spent part of the day reading Briar Club.

 

Relaxing with a good book

 

After dinner when the sun came out we walked around the campground. We walked to the tent loop. We saw a family on the bank of the lake fishing. By the time we got back we had walked around for a half hour. Larry went inside and I walked around for another hour and a half. I walked back to the tent campground and walked the loop four times. Then I walked the RV loop four times. As we walked the birds were chirping and the squirrels were running around. People were walking around and some were walking their dogs. It seemed like a spring day. By the end of the day I had gotten 18,000 steps, which put me in 7th place in my for the week with the total of 102,200 steps. I didn't get my 125k for the challenge but I'm happy I did as much as I did because of the weather. LIFE IS GOOD!!!
