Driving to Round Rock Texas

Yesterday, Larry called his sister Louise to see how she was doing. While talking to her she mentioned that she was shopping for a new washer because hers was leaking. He told her we had our old machine in storage and she was more than welcome to have it. We had received a free washer and dryer from the Home Depot Seeds Program and we put our old ones in our storage unit. 

This morning we loaded the old washer in the back of the truck and off to Round Rock we went. When we got there she was still working. Larry turned off the water to the washer and disconnected the hoses. Then he used his dolly to exchange her old washer with ours and connected new hoses to it. When he turned the water back on he found a little leak so he had to turn the water off to the house and take the valve apart to put some joint compound around the threads. That stopped the leak and then we tested the washer out to make sure it was working considering it was in storage for over a year.  

We were just finishing up when Louise showed up. She had stopped by Papa Murphy's  and bought a pizza for lunch. 

Louise's house is always settling, it was built in an area with a lot of black soil which shrinks and contracts with the changing weather, this causes cracks in the ceiling sheetrock. Larry has fixed some of the cracks multiple times and years ago she had a gentleman come out and redo the entire ceiling. Larry has been looking at ceiling tiles to put on her ceiling. After lunch he got her computer out and showed her the tiles he was looking at. She picked one out and they ordered a single box to experiment with, if she likes the look she will order enough to redo her living room, dining room and kitchen. We hope to do the work in December before we leave town again. 

When we got home I worked out for a half hour with Just Dance. After dinner I baked some cookies, I guess I should say I attempted to bake cookies. The first batch didn't come out too good so I threw them away. The second batch came out perfect. I was going to take them with us for a square dancing event tomorrow but I ended up not having enough. For backup we had a bag of Fig Newton's so I'll take them. We ate the other cookies for dessert.

In the evening we watched YouTube videos and finished watching the fourth season of Sherlock.
