Sunday 9-16 Doing This and That

This to do

We have been on the road for three weeks and are having a great time. 

Our next destination is Cloquet Minnesota. Cloquet is a small town about 20 miles from Duluth. We drove mainly two lane highways through small towns because it's a lot more interesting than I35. It was a very nice drive. It was so relaxing I slept part of the way. 

We arrived in Cloquet about noon. Spafford Park is a city park with a small RV park, the sites have power and water. There are bathrooms with showers. There are trails for snow mobiles and ATVs. The park is right next to the St. Louis River and there's a walking bridge that goes over the river. There are a couple of ramps to launch boats into the river. Cloquet has a couple of more city parks that are nearby. It seems to be a very nice town.

When we entered into the park we were met by the host and told which sites were available. Once we found a site we walked over to the host's rv and paid for the night. The husband and wife team were very nice and helpful. They told us where different restaurants were. It was hot and humid so we spent the afternoon in the Minnie under the air conditioner reading.

After dinner we decided to do laundry. The laundromat was less than two miles away, we had swung by earlier and it was busy. When we got there this time hardly anyone was there. We were there a couple of hours. It was a nice laundromat. When we got back to the park we walked around and checked out the river. We had a nice walk around the park.
