Wednesday 6-11-25 Two Dances, Dentist Appointment, Projects & More

Rainy Overcast Day

We had a nice day with overcast skies. We were awoken about 5:30 am when the power had a few surges because of the weather. It rained through out the morning but nothing severe.

The hawk came to visit about 8:30 this morning, he was doing a little hunting. The hummingbird visited us through out the day.

Larry continued doing his projects. He continued working on downloading movies. He bought the updated version of the program he uses on the downloading.

His next project was working on the septic system. He installed the new filter a few days ago. He has been keeping an eye on how much bleach the system uses. Every since we have lived here he has filled the system on the 1st of the month, by doing thing he knows that we normally use 1.5 gallons of bleach per month. Now it's going through a gallon each time it runs. Today he installed an adjustable flow valve, he will probably have to adjust it a few times to get the amount of bleach correct. He'll continue watching the system.

I did laundry in between dancing and doing other things.

I attended two virtual dances. First was Di Green and Terry McCann's Weekly Plus at 10:00 am for an hour. Terry and Di took turns calling five tips to 11 participants. Today we did a lot of diamond moves. The dancers were having problems with the call Follow Your Neighbor from a T-Bone formation, that looked like a diamond. Di walked us through the move multiple times before moving on. I had a super time dancing to Terry and Di and with friends.

Second was Dave Eno's Weekly C1/A2 at 6:00 for an hour and a half. Karin Rabe and Greg Moore helped call the dance. The format was 3 tips of C1with 10 participants, 3 tips of A2 with 13 participants and two trivia questions in between the A2 tips. I had a very nice evening dancing to Dave, Karin and Greg and with friends. It was nice to see Tom from Richardson, TX. since we hadn't seen him in awhile.

In between the two dances Larry took me to the dentist for my appointment at 2:00. I was a little disappointed because I thought I was getting my implant put in. But they just did a scan and I have to go back for the implant in August. I was in and out of the appointment within ten minutes.

When I got home from the dentist I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Spider Mini of 5 games. It took me 18 minutes and 37 seconds, which put me in 29th place in my group. Then I played Angry Birds.

I also played some pinball. I played seven games, which were Cirqus Voltaire, The Lord of the Rings, Dark Chaos, Superman and the Justice League, Elvira and the Party Monsters, Transformers and Iron Man. While playing Transformers I became the Grand Champion. I didn't get a new high score for the weekly challenge of Cirqus Voltaire. But I'm in 20th place out of 34 participants.

I think we have adopted a fawn for a pet. Mom again dropped the fawn off about 3:00. It just laid by the fence line. I went out and barbecued a couple of beef sausage links for dinner and the fawn just laid there and watched me. It didn't seemed to bother him I was out there. While I was dancing the neighbors took their trash cans in and scared the fawn. It ran off towards the front. At 8:30 mom and baby showed back up in the backyard. They hung around a little bit grazing.

Larry worked on getting subtitles to work correctly on the new movies.

I worked on my diamond painting of the tree.

After Dave's dance we watched Mission Impossible I from our movies collection. When Larry went to bed I watched The Bourne Identity from the movies collection. I ended up doing 13,500 steps.
