Tuesday 6-17-25 Liberty Hill Dancing & Games

Hot Day

We had a hot humid day with the high at 5:00 of 95 degrees and humidity of 43%. The day was beautiful with sunshine.

We spent the day in Liberty Hill dancing C1/A2 at the Skis house. We left the house at 10:15 am to get to the dance by 12:00. On the way to the dance we parked in a restaurant parking lot to have lunch. We met up with Henry and Susan to dance C1 for an hour. We were greeted by Kay and Bob's dog, Baily. This week we danced to Tony Collingwood from the UK on a two couple tape. We had a super time dancing to Tony. He made it challenging by calling calls we weren't used to.

At 1:00 we danced A1/A2 with John Kephart for two hours. John called one tip A1 and one tip A2 though out the dance because his students only know A1. We used cards for us to know which square we were in. The first and last tips were open so you go where you want to go. John spent the afternoon working on moves the dancers had problems with when they went to the State Convention, where all the squares kept breakdown. I danced every tip except the last one. During the A1 tips some of the guys needed a partner so I danced. We left during the last tip because we were sitting out. We had enough people to make two squares and a few people sat out. We had an outstanding afternoon dancing with friends.

Next week we won't be dancing in Liberty Hill because it's the National Convention and people will be there.

When we got home at 4:15, we watched YouTube videos. While watching YouTube videos I played the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Easy Street Mini of 5 games. It took me 8 minutes and 55 seconds, which put me in 21st place in my group. Then I played Angry Birds.

For dinner I cooked sausage links in the air fryer.

In the evening I played four pinball games. They were Big Bang Bar, Dark Chaos, JP Space Cadet and The Addams Family. I played JP Space Cadet for a half hour and I came in as high score #1. I had a great game.

After playing pinball we watched Mission Impossible 5, which was Mission Impossible Fallout from our movies collection. Then I watch Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 from our movies collection. Then I watched Sonic the Hedgehog on Paramount +. We have watched Sonic before and it was cute so I enjoyed the movie once again. I ended up doing 13,500 steps.

Monday 6-16-25 Dancing with Di, Diamond Painting & Games

Smile and be happy

We had a great day.

We started the day off by attending Di Green and Terry McCann's Weekly C1 dance at 9:00 for an hour and fifteen minutes. Di called five tips to 15 participants. Larry danced four of the tips with me. We had a great time dancing with friends.

Larry is still working on organizing his work room. He's getting rid of stuff he doesn't use and putting other items where they belong. His work room is looking great.

The other day we had a home delivery from Walmart and they were out of stock on a few items. After the dance we went to Walmart to pick up the items. We like walking through the store because sometimes we find other items. Before going to Walmart we stopped at The UPS Store to check our mail. We only had a piece of junk mail.

I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Experts Only of 10 games. It took me 4 hours, 21 minutes and 45 seconds to complete, which put me in 16th place in my group. Then I played Angry Birds.

I played four games of pinball, which were The Godfather, Mission Impossible, Cactus Canyon and The Addams Family. I got a new high score in The Addams Family, which was 66,632,710. This put me in 12th place out of 22 participants for the weekly challenge. I didn't do as well as I did yesterday playing Cactus Canyon but I had fun. I also had fun playing The Godfather and Mission Impossible.

We watched YouTube videos. Larry continued learning more things on the ONN streaming device by watching YouTube videos and reading about the devices.

Larry called the mowing company to ask them if they forgot about us considering they hadn't mowed in three weeks. They are suppose to mow every other week. The gentleman, who owns the company said they were behind schedule due to the weather. Last Friday they got stuck in a customer's yard and decided it was too wet to mow. A crew of four guys showed up around 4:00 to mow. They didn't have much to mow in the frontyard because Jason had his son Connor mowed it the other day. The mower had to go back and forth in the backyard a couple of times because the grass was very high. They did a great job.

For dinner I cooked a couple of Chipotle Cheddar sausages in the air fryer. They came out very good and not dry.

Sunday 6-15-25 New Pinball Challenge, Shelves Project & More

Overcast day with rain

We had an overcast day with the high of 80 degrees and humidity of 68%. A hard rain came through around 3:00 and was gone by 3:30. It didn't stay around too long but it was hard enough for the trash can to be blown over.

Temperature at 4:00

Larry spent the morning and a part of the afternoon working on the shelving. He assembled two shelves on the north wall and a third shelf on the wall above the workbench. Then he started to put things back on the shelves. The shelves on the north wall he put the two Rock Ola jukeboxes. The other new shelf he's putting the two Seeburg jukeboxes. It's looking good.

I played eight games of pinball.

Today is a beginning of a new week so I have a new weekly pinball challenge, which is The Addams Family. We have The Addams Family already but it wasn't the right version so Larry downloaded the correct version. He installed it on the cabinet in both 2D and VR. Then he played it. The new version of The Addams Family has a very nice VR room.

Saturday 6-14-25 Shelving Project, Games & Having Fun

Hot humid day

We had another hot humid day with the high of 91 degrees and the humidity was 60%.

We started the day by going to town to pickup a few items for the shelving project. First stop was The Home Depot to return four long shelve brackets, Larry decided he wants shorter brackets. They didn't have anything shorter. Larry currently has a Home Depot cardboard box where he stores electronic cables. The box is falling apart so decided to replace it with a plastic container. While in The Home Depot we bought one. We went to Lowe's, they had the shorter brackets.

Back at home we went to work on the shelving project. Larry decided to make three shelves out of scrap plywood he has. He cut them to size using his table saw and miter saw. I helped him by holding the boards while he moved them through the saw. After they were cut we sanded them down to prepare them for the staining. When the sanding was done we took a break and had lunch. After lunch Larry stained the boards. We called it a day to let the boards dry.

I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Easy Street of 30 games. It took me 1 hour, 14 minutes and 28 seconds, which put me in 20th place in my group. Then I played Angry Birds.

I continued working on my diamond painting of a tree.

I played three games of Gunpowder Gulch on Bounce Arcade. I didn't play well but during the third game I earned a silver trophy. I earned an extra ball, cracked the safe and played a couple multiballs (jail breakout and cracked the safe).

Larry played five games on the mini pinball cabinet. It had been a few weeks since we used it. He played Three Angels, Metallica, James Bond 60th Anniversary, No Fear and Creature From The Black Lagoon. While playing Creature From The Black Lagoon Larry became Grand Champion.

After he finished playing pinball on the mini cabinet I played the same games on the mini cabinet. Then I moved over to the big cabinet and played the weekly challenge of Cirqus Voltaire and Big Bang Bar. Today I didn't get on the board but had a time playing pinball.

Friday 6-13-25 Friday the 13th, Projects, Games & Dancing

Happy Friday the 13th

It's Friday the 13th are you superstitious? I'm not.

We had a hot humid day with the high of 93 degrees and humidity of 53% at 3:30 pm.

High temperature at 3:30

We started the day out by going to town, Larry needed some items from The Home Depot, he is building and modifying shelving in his workroom. Before going to The Home Depot we stopped by the storage center to take the Minnie for a ride. Larry tries to take the Minnie for a short ride every month, it helps keep it running correctly and exercises the generator. Everything started right up and worked great.

Larry spent most of the day working on the shelves in his workroom. He wanted to make shelves for his jukeboxes. First he decided how he wanted to modify the existing shelves and where to put additional shelves he needed. The existing shelves are above his workbench. The shelves hold screws, washers, spray cleaners, alcohol and other items he uses on projects. He removed the items from the existing shelves. Then he screwed an upright bracket to the wall and put a few brackets in it. Next he lowered one of the shelves so it was even with another one. He cut a piece of wood to hold the two boards together. Once the shelves were hanging he started putting his stuff back on the shelves. He has a ways to go to finish. He decided he wanted shorter brackets for the new shelves so tomorrow we'll go back to town to buy shorter ones.

Workroom project begins

I did the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong. The event was Event: Two Game Tango Mini of 10 games (5 Klondike and 5 Free Cell). It took me 53 minutes and 41 seconds, which put me in 16th place in my group. Then I played Angry Birds.

I worked out with Synth Riders for a half hour and I did my Jazz routine for fifteen minutes.

Working Out

I played two games of Monster Manor in Bounce Arcade. I didn't play that well but the first  game was the best. I earned a bronze trophy. I woke the manor and tried to stun the manor and failed.

I played four games of pinball, which were Big Bang Bar, Big Lebowski, Cirqus Voltaire and World Cup Soccer. I became Grand Champion in World Cup Soccer.

I worked on my diamond painting of a tree.

I attended Ett McAtee's Weekly A2 at 6:30 for an hour. Ett has been traveling for the last month so we haven't danced to her for over a month. She called four tips to 10 participants. During the dance she mentioned that Gail was going to the convention in San Francisco and it was her first time to this convention. I told her I was going to be there with Larry for the first time. She was very excited to hear Gail, Larry and I were going to be there. She sent us a link on how the convention is run. We had a small group of dancers but had a great time. It was nice to see Ett again.

Participants at the dance

After the dance we watched YouTube videos. When Larry went to bed I watched the fourth Jason Bourne movie, which was Jason Bourne. It was out of our movies collection. I ended up doing 13,500 steps.

During the day we didn't see any deer. I guess it's because it was hot and humid. But I did see them in the security camera at 11:45 pm. It was a doe and a fawn, they were grazing.
