Friday 6-6-25 Dancing with Loren Smith, Pizza Night & Having Fun

 

Get a partner and dance

 

We had a wonderful day. It was very humid with the high of 95 degrees.

Before I got up Larry was entertained by the deer in the backyard. He saw a doe and a fawn show up and shortly afterwards another doe showed up. The doe with the fawn chased the other doe into the neighbor's yard. The fawn thought mom was playing so it ran around. A little later another doe and fawn showed up. The two fawns ran around the backyard. I wasn't awake to see this but Larry told me about it when I woke up. 

Larry spent part of the morning working on pinball games. Yesterday, he downloaded a new game called Time Lord. This morning he tweaked it to play the way he wanted it. Before you play you can choose if you want it to be easy or hard and if you want 3 or 5 balls. Its a cool game where if you shoot the ramp in the back it will take you on top, where there is an invisible playfield. We haven't figured what to do when the ball is there. The VR room is very good.

Larry also worked on The Creature From The Black Lagoon. Last week he installed a new version and it was harder to hit one of the shots. He had lots of problems getting up the move your car ramp, on the old version he could hit it fairly consistently. He put the old version back on. After changing it back it was back to normal. He played three other games after lunch, they were Spiderman and became Grand Champion, Indianapolis 500 and World Cup Soccer. He had a great afternoon playing pinball.

When the neighbor's have all their exterior lights on the light leaks into our bedroom through our mini blinds, it can get be bright and distracting. Today Larry installed the old dining room smart roller blind in the master bedroom. Now that the old blind is installed we can simply ask Alexa to close the bedroom blind and it will blacken out the window, the light can't come in. He was able to keep the mini blind installed in front of the roller blind so everything still appears the same.

While Larry was working on the pinball games I worked on my diamond painting. 

I spent most of the afternoon playing the event in Solitaire, which was Event: The Hard Road of 16 games. It took me 3 hours, 33 minutes and seconds to complete, which put me in 21st place in my group. I played Angry Birds. I didn't do the Daily Challenges of Solitaire and Mahjong.

I played the five games of pinball Larry had played. They were Time Lord, The Creature From The Black Lagoon, Indianapolis 500, Spiderman and World Cup Soccer. While playing Spiderman I entered my initials as high score #1. It was the first time I played Time Lord and I think I'm going to like it. I like the idea of choosing easy/hard and how many balls (3 or 5). I had a good time playing pinball.

It's Friday so for dinner we had a frozen pizza, which I cooked in the air fryer. For dessert I made chocolate chip cookies. 

Larry continued downloading Country music. 

In the evening we attended Ett McAtee's Weekly A2 dance for an hour and fifteen minutes. This week Loren Smith called the dance because Ett's still out of town. Loren called 5 tips of A2 to 10 participants and 1 C1 tip to 8 participants. Larry danced the dance with me. This made Loren very happy because we were the only couple dancing the rest were by themselves and he could pin us. We had an outstanding time dancing to Loren and friends.

After the dance we watched a couple of episodes of Genius (Pablo Picasso). After Larry went to bed I watched Mission Impossible on Amazon. I ended up doing 13,500 steps.
