Monday 6-3 Doing Monthly Stuff

Checking off monthly stuff

It was a gorgeous day with a lot of sunshine and very little wind. It got up into the mid 90s.

At the beginning of every month we do some activities that need to be done monthly. The first thing we did was to take the Minnie out for a ride. We take it out to make sure everything stays working correctly, during the drive we run the generator. Every month it starts right up and we want it to continue doing so.

When we got home Larry filled the motorcycle up with gas so we could take it for its monthly ride. We drove about fourteen miles and checked out the boat ramps on Belton Lake. Larry wanted to see which boat ramps are open. We found out that Rogers Park and Temple Lake Park are still closed due to the lake being over full. The ramp on Arrowhead Point is open.

Arrowhead Point is just down the street from the house. The ramp is open but the walkway to the dock is still under water. The parking area is very small and narrow. When we went by the ramp it was busy. We stopped and Larry took the temperature of the water. His thermometer read 82 degrees. We don't like to launch the boat here because it's not well protected and the water in the area is usually too rough for what we do on the lake.

After the motorcycle ride Larry filled the septic with bleach. While he was doing this he put a little fertilizer on my flowers.

In the evening we went to Sun City to dance with the Sundancers. Every first Monday they have a different format. Lessons are 5:00 to 6:00, Mainstream is 6:00 to 7:30 and Plus is 7:30 to 9:00. Tonight we had four squares for the Plus class. We spent the hour reviewing the moves we were have learned and Brad introduced us to Follow Your Neighbor. During the dance we had four squares. We didn't have enough people to have an A tip but we had a super time playing with a six couple square Plus tip. We had a great night of dancing with Brad and friends.
