Thursday 1-17 Card Bingo and Dancing

Overcast Day

We woke up to overcast skies and a bit of fog. It was warmer then yesterday but there was a lot of moisture in the air. In the afternoon it was misting.

We started the day out by going to an A2 workshop/dance with Randy Dougherty at Tip of Texas. We had five squares plus two extra couples. These Thursday morning sessions are designed to be really challenging and every square will normally break down at some point. One move we worked today was reverse flip the diamond, instead of the points of the diamond flipping in the folks with the hand hold flip away from center. The other dances do a diamond circulate. He did a few more reverse moves that made the dance fun and challenging. We had a super morning dancing to Randy.

At 1:30 we went to the Peppermint Palace Hall and attended Bronc's A2 Dance. We were shy one dancer to make five squares. Bronc isn't as challenging as Randy but he is a great caller. All the tips were computer generated and we ended up sitting out one tip. We had a great time.

In the evening I went over to the clubhouse and played card Bingo. Twenty-two people were there. We had 12 games. The sixth and twelfth game the winner won $7 and the other games the winner won $3. I won one game for $3 so I won my entry fee of $2 and the dollar I spent on a soda. Halfway through the games we had a break where windmill cookies, chocolate chips cookies and coffee were served. I had fun.
