Sunday 10-7 RV/MH Hall of Fame Museum

It was another rainy day. The sun did try to come out a few times. At least it wasn't cold.

Every year Fort Custer State Recreational Park has a Harvest Fest, it is next weekend. The Harvest Fest celebrates the Halloween season. They have different activities such as children's games, hay rides, costume contest, parade, trick-or-treating, campsite decorating contest, hot dogs and much more. As we were walking around we saw a sign inviting people to the host campsite between 8 and 10 today to have coffee, tea, hot chocolate and donuts, the proceeds going towards the Harvest Fest. This morning even though it was raining Larry and I took the umbrella and went down to the host site and bought a couple of donuts, I also had a cup of hot chocolate. While there we talked with the hosts and asked when their last day was, they said the day after Harvest Fest.
Our next destination was 65 miles down the road in Indiana. It was the RV/MH Hall of Fame Museum. Last year in Canada we stopped at Tim Hortons a few times for donuts, we knew they had some locations in the US and today we finally saw one, we stopped and bought a couple of donuts, they were delicious.

The RV/MH Hall of Fame Museum and Library is located in Elkhart, Indiana. The facility is a 100,000 square foot building and has two floors. It features a variety of  recreational vehicles dating back 100 years. The displays show the history of rvs from Airstream, Winnebago and other American Makers. You can walk through many of the rvs and others you can look in doors and windows. They had special rvs on display such as 1931 Mae West Housecar and 1939 Linberg Travel Trailer. We saw a lot of neat rvs. It took us an hour and a half to walk through the museum. We enjoyed the tour. They also allow you to stay overnight in the parking lot, which we did.
