Friday 5-18 Having Fun on Lake Belton

Let's go boating!!!

What a great day. Larry started the morning out by putting the last coat of polyurethane on Louise's puzzle board. Next up was the motorcycle, at times the front tire has been low on air so before we go for a ride Larry has to check the air pressure, sometimes it is fine, other times it is low. The last couple of days the tire has been going flat overnight. Larry decided to work on it. The tires are tube tires so he figured he would remove and patch the tube. It didn't take him too get the tire off and when he went to remove the valve stem from the tube he discovered it was loose. He tightened it up and put air in it. He's waiting until tomorrow to make sure that was the problem before he reinstalls it. While Larry did his projects I worked on my jigsaw puzzle.

Next we went to town. The first stop was getting rid of the boat's old oil. Then we filled the truck up with gas. Next we stopped at the UPS Store to pick up our mail. Then we went into Walmart and picked up an oil filter for the boat Larry had ordered. While there I picked up a couple of things.

Doing errands

After lunch it was a little windy but the sun was out so we went to the lake. When we got to the lake there was only one other vehicle in the park lot. We launched the boat, Larry parked the truck and trailer, then I picked him up at the dock. It was too windy to water ski but we assembled the Air Chair. We both did a set and it was a lot of fun. The water is 77 degrees. After flying the air chair we floated. Afterwards we wiped the boat down and headed home. We had a super day at the lake.

After dinner we watched an old Sherlock Holmes series on Amazon. It was The Leading Lady, filmed in 1991. It was ok considering it was done in 1991. We had a great day.
