Wednesday 12-13 Finishing Up Laying Tile

Louise is excited

Louise is very excited, after six days we finally finished installing all the ceiling tiles. Today we finished the entrance and hallway. Larry had to cut most of the tile today but they were mostly straight edges. We installed a new entrance way light and put the vent cover back on in the living room. Next up was the new dining room light which took a bit of time. The light hangs on a chain and during the installation you have to adjust a couple of things. While Larry was resting I put our table, ladder and tools that he doesn't need any more in the truck.

Louise's fan in the bathroom has been making noise for awhile, she had a replacement fan but Larry wasn't sure if he could replace it, he watched a few YouTube videos to get some ideas and figured it out. Before leaving Louise's he replaced the fan in her bathroom.

Tomorrow we will be going back to Louise's to install light switches for her new Amazon Echo Dot. It won't take too long so we won't be going over too early.

The project took a long time but it came out great. We didn't have to replace the lights but they were brass and some of them were tarnished. The new lights are now silver and very bright. Larry did an excellent job installing the tile and hanging  the new light fixtures. I helped by putting the caulk on the tile. I also had fun playing with Alice so I got my dog fix.

In the evening we watched YouTube videos and a couple of PBS shows via the ROKU. One was Independence Lens called Mimi and Dona, it was about a mother (Mimi) taking care of her handicapped daughter (Dona). The other one was Nature, Private Life of Deer, which was about deer. Both shows were very good. LIFE IS GOOD!!!!
