We woke up to beautiful sunshine skies, unfortunately by 10 things were once again overcast. Louise is still looking for a dog so when our local animal shelter opened at 10 we were there to look at what they had. We did not find a dog she wanted so we moved on to Bell County Animal Control. She found a Schnauzer she was interested in, the staff person took us to a room to socialize with the dog. It was a great dog but they did not know anything about the dog and it had cataracts in one eye which led us to believe it might be an older dog. Louise decided she wanted to continue looking. The next stop was Killeen Animal Control, this was our first time there. The dogs were outside in heated kennels and they were working on added more insulation to provide more heat for the dogs. We walked around the kennels and looked at the dogs. The kennels were divided with a door that slides down to block the cold out and some of the dogs were behind the doors. We were almost finished when Larry and I looked around a corner and saw a couple of Chihuahuas in it. Louise liked the tan long hair Chihuahua. The gentleman working there took it out and let her play with it. He told her to be careful because it was an escape artist. She got that reputation because when they opened the door to her kennel to feed her she ran out. But he also said she came right back. Louise fell in love with her. They called her Princess but Louise may change her name to Alice. The adoption was free but Louise had to chip her for $15.00. The lady that took care of the adoption was very efficient and nice. The gentleman that helped us was also excellent. Louise is a happy woman, she now has a new family member. It's going to take a little while for the new member of the house to get use to Flo. But I know they'll be great friends.

In the evening we took Shirley with us to attend a square dance in Austin at The Waterloo Squares. This was the first time we danced with Waterloo, it's about 70 miles one way and is on the south side of Austin. They dance every Tuesday and have a special caller every week. Tonight they invited Noah Siegmann and his two brothers Lincoln and Jed to call. There were 10 squares on the floor and in between each square dancing tip they had either a line dance or dancing to music. We visited with many friends, a few of which we hadn't seen in a long time. The brothers did an excellent job. Larry and I danced every tip and I danced the line dances. We had a super time and Shirley said she enjoyed herself. We had an outstanding day.
