8-6 Saturday Cornhuskers Afternoon Plus Dance

Our Equinox
We love our 2014 Equinox. We purchased it back in November of 2014 with about 16,000 miles already on it and it now has 43,000 miles, if you follow my blog you know we drive it a lot. It is a great car for everything we do, the four doors make it nice to take folks square dancing and it being low to the ground allows Flo (our dog) to get in easier, when we first got it she could get in totally on her own but now we have to help her a bit, she will be 14 in a week or two. The car drives and rides great, since we have owned it we have averaged a bit over 30 mpg. Other than oil changes we have never had to take it to the dealer for anything. We also have a truck that seldom gets used except to pull the boat or if we are working on a house project we may need it for larger items.

We had very relaxing morning. We took Flo a ride in the car to do a few errands in town. We stopped by The Home Depot and picked up a couple items at HEB to take with us to our DBD dance tomorrow at Brier Cliff Community Center. Then we picked up our mail and a couple of packages at The UPS Store. It really never cooled off much, it's only going down in the 80's at night. When we got home Larry and I read until it was time to go to The Cornhuskers Afternoon Plus Dance.

Square dancing with friends
The Cornhuskers plus dance was from 3:00 to 5:00. We had two squares and a few people sitting out. We did some dbd plus and vanilla plus. Larry sat out a couple of tips so a couple single men could dance. We had a super time dancing with friends and to Dave Vieira calling. When we returned home Flo was very excited to see us. After we said our hellos we changed clothes.

In the evening we watched a couple of documentaries on Amazon. We have been busy square dancing for the last four nights so it was nice to be able to watch a couple of shows. The first documentary was Misfits, which was about three teenagers growing up in conservative Tulsa struggling on their coming-of-age. It was very well done. The other documentary was Mountains and Man: In The Shadow of Giants. It was about how man lives with the mountains and their beliefs. It was interesting. After watching the documentaries we watched a few TED TV videos. Then I read until it was time to go to bed. We had a good day.
