3-22 Just an Ordinary Day

Running Errands
No square dancing but we did run some errands. This morning we loaded Flo in the car and went to town. The first stop was at The Car Wash Barn to give the car a bath. After all the rain we had the car was filthy and we were tried of it being so dirty. Now it looks great. The first errand was going grocery shopping. We stopped by Aldi's and on the way to HEB to do our weekly grocery shopping we stopped at the S&W Hospice Thrift Store. Larry needed cuff links for a shirt he bought the other day. We found a pair he liked and bought them. After leaving HEB we stopped at The UPS Store to pick up our mail. We really didn't have to get our mail but we had a package waiting for us, it was a couple more hats Larry ordered. Once again they were shipped in a plastic bag and they had creases in the hats. One actually had a crease in the bill. So I got my iron out and ironed the hats, now they look good. We were going to go home when we remembered that we had to pick up some food for Flo, off to Belton Feed we went. While walking around Larry saw that their belts were 50% off. He found one that he liked so we bought it. After finishing our errands we went home.

In the evening we finished watching The New Yorker episodes 10 and 11. Episode 10 had three stories, they were called SNOOPS, The Cyclist and The Breathe of the World. SNOOPS was about private detectives getting together and talk about some of their cases in a joking way. The Cyclist was about a gentleman, who makes movies and gives talk. He visited Cuba and talked to people about their culture and got to know them before he gave a talk. The Breathe of the World was about John Luther Adams, who is a composer who moved from Alaska to New York. Episode 11 had three stories, they were Who's Your Daddy, Never Alone and Protect and Serve. Who's Your Daddy was about Kenny Burke, who is the proud daddy of The Naked Cowboy. The Naked Cowboy is a guy who preforms on the streets of New York. Never Alone was about the Inupiat tribe in Alaska, who preserves their culture and language through storytelling. Protect and Serve was about the police department in Albuquerque. If you can stream programs I highly recommend The New Yorker because all the stories are short and very entertaining. We also watched a couple of episodes of Bosch. We had a very good day.
