4-8 Los Alamos in Angeles National Forest

Los Alamos Campground in Angeles National Forest

Camping at Los Alamos Campground

We drove for over 200 miles today to Hughes Lake Campground in the Angeles National Forest. On the way there we drove through Palmdale which seemed like it took forever, had to go through the city and there were a lot of stop lights. When we got to Hughes Lake we found the campground was closed because of a fire so Larry pulled over to look for another place to camp. Once he found a campground we were on the road again. The road we took was a very curvy mountain road for 20 miles but the scenery was pretty. Once off the road we took Interstate 5 to Pyramid Lake exit that took us to Los Alamos Campground. By the time we got there we were ready to call it a night. Los Alamos Campground is a very nice place to camp at.
